The Confederate Flag and Everything the Confederacy stood for was Slavery, Greed and White Supremicy
This is a letter directly to all those who believe in saving, celebrating, white washing history and honoring the Confederate States and the men who fought for it. For those who have been brainwashed into believing that the South Succeeded from the Union over States Rights and NOT slavery are deceived. The Ordinance of Secession was passed by the Confederate legislature in February of 1861 to proclaim independence from the United States and clearly states all of the reasons why they are succeeding.
“We hold as undeniable truths that the governments of the various States, and of the confederacy itself, were established exclusively by the white race, for themselves and their posterity; that the African race had no agency in their establishment; that they were rightfully held and regarded as an inferior and dependent race, and in that condition only could their existence in this country be rendered beneficial or tolerable..." A couple months after its publication, confederate Vice President Alexander Stephens gave his infamous “Cornerstone Speech.” Where he espoused the justification and GOD given mandate of white supremacy and black subordination upon which secession and confederation were based:
“its [the confederacy’s] foundations are laid, its cornerstone rests upon the great truth, that the negro is not equal to the white man; that slavery — subordination to the superior race — is his natural and normal condition. This, our new government, is the first, in the history of the world, based upon this great physical, philosophical, and moral truth.”
So all you dis-disillusioned confederate sympathizers, don't be alarmed or argue that Confederate Statues and Monuments are a proud part of American heritage and history. NO, that is Confederate History, the history if greedy, hateful traitors of the US constitution and racist white supremacist who never believed in equality for all mankind, but only white supremacy. Quite often, these people bring up that 'slavery ended 150 years ago', and that 'black folks just need to leave it in the past or just get over it,' but in the same breath will also fight tooth and nail to keep statues and the flags of racist traitors from the same period, claiming that 'they are our heritage,' and that 'you can't ignore or forget about history,'". I say to you all, you can't have your cake and eat it too. If you want us to celebrate the Confederacy and what it stood for yet ignore and forget that millions of black men, women and children were beaten, killed, tortured, separated from their families, raped, burned alive, branded, chained, lynched and on on and on.. Wow, these monsters should not be celebrated, but condemned the way we condemn Hitler.
